There is no price on this page and no calculator that returns one. Senditt publishes no pricing. A pallet freight quote is produced inside the login Senditt sets up for a business after a freight review. Senditt is a managed freight platform (4PL) for high-volume Australian business shippers, and is not a marketplace, a courier or a carrier.
What follows is the mechanics: which details affect a pallet freight quote, what can change the charge after booking, and what the quote leaves out. The clauses quoted are from Senditt's published carriage terms.
What a Pallet Freight Quote Covers
A pallet freight quote is for carriage Senditt arranges, not carriage Senditt performs. Under clause 2 Senditt arranges carriage of goods through carriers it engages, does not itself operate vehicles or physically carry goods unless that has been expressly agreed in writing, and is not a common carrier.
The pallet travels with the carrier selected at the time of booking, and that carrier's own conditions of carriage, service coverage, transit times and item restrictions apply alongside Senditt's terms. So two numbers for the same pallet need not be like for like: the services behind them can differ, and with them the coverage, the transit estimate and what the carrier will accept. Senditt's managed freight platform lists 35+ carriers, listed on the carriers page.
The Details a Pallet Freight Quote Is Built From
Clause 7 says where the number comes from: the charge is the one the platform quoted at booking, worked out from the details the customer entered. It then says what happens if a carrier records any of them differently, which is that the charge is adjusted and re-invoiced. Read forwards, that is what a quote responds to.
- Dimensions, as entered. Clause 7 names them first and does not define how they are taken, so enter what the selected carrier's conditions ask for.
- Weight, as entered for the same pallet.
- Item count. One pallet, three pallets, or a pallet plus two cartons.
- Service. The service level chosen for that consignment.
- Pickup and delivery addresses. Both ends, because what a carrier must do at each is part of the service it quotes.
Entering those accurately is not an administrative nicety. Clause 3 has the customer warrant that all descriptions, dimensions, weights, quantities, values and addresses entered are complete and accurate, with an indemnity for loss arising from any inaccuracy or omission.
Why the Measurements Matter, Not Only the Weight
Clause 7 says directly that a quote responds to the measurements: dimensions are the first detail it will re-invoice on. Two other clauses make them matter for different reasons. Clause 8 says no item may be tendered that exceeds the dimension or weight limits of the carrier selected, and those limits are whatever the platform displays or Senditt has advised in writing. Clause 2 lets Senditt, or a carrier with Senditt's permission, open, inspect, weigh or measure any package tendered for carriage.
What the terms do not set out is how a particular carrier turns a measurement into a charge. That basis belongs to the carrier selected, and the figure that applies is the one the platform shows at booking, subject to the adjustment clause 7 allows. So the measurements decide which carriers can take the freight at all, and a carrier may weigh or measure the pallet rather than take the booking's word. If you are already weighing up pallet or parcel per consignment, the same numbers drive both calls.
Why Road Freight Charges Have Moved
A quote taken a year ago is not a guide to a quote taken today. Road freight transport prices posted the largest quarterly rise the series has recorded since it commenced in 1997: up 15.5% in the June quarter of 2026, and up a record 17.6% across the year. The Australian Bureau of Statistics attributed that quarterly movement to strong increases in fuel surcharges across the industry (Producer Price Indexes, Australia, released 31 July 2026).
The same release puts postal and courier pick-up and delivery services up 4.4% for the quarter, also on fuel. Neither index is a pallet index, but the gap between them is why a business benchmarking its pallet freight rates against last year's parcel invoices can read a market movement as a carrier problem.
What Can Change the Freight Charges After You Book
Clause 7 names the carrier surcharges that can be added when what happens on the ground differs from the booking.
- Re-measurement, where the measurement a carrier records is not the one entered.
- Oversize items.
- Manual handling.
- Residential, remote or restricted-area delivery, which turns entirely on the delivery address.
- Dangerous goods, which clause 3 requires declared in full at booking, within the classes and quantities the selected carrier accepts.
A different clause covers the delivery that fails. Clause 6 says one that cannot be completed can attract charges for redelivery, storage, return to sender and a futile pickup, at the rates the platform displays or Senditt advises, and the carrier may send the goods back if neither delivery nor collection happens within seven days. Those are not surcharges on a quote but the cost of a second attempt, which the delivery detail on the consignment is there to prevent.
What a Pallet Freight Quote Does Not Include
Three things sit outside the number, and each is in the terms rather than a carrier's fine print.
- Insurance. Clause 4 makes arranging it the customer's responsibility, and transit insurance is not included unless the customer requests it and Senditt confirms it in writing at booking.
- GST. Clause 7 states that all charges are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise.
- A firm delivery date. Clause 2 makes a platform transit time the carrier's estimate, not a guarantee. A business giving its customer a firm date on the strength of one promises more than the quote did.
Getting a Pallet Freight Quote for a Business Account
Senditt is built for Australian businesses shipping roughly 500 or more consignments a month, pallet and parcel, rather than for individuals. A quote here is part of setting up an account, not a price for one job.
The sequence starts with a freight review. Its form asks how many consignments you send a month and what you currently spend on freight, among ten required fields, and the account and Senditt's negotiated rates for it follow from the review. That is why no public form here returns a pallet freight cost: Senditt publishes no pricing, and a quote is produced against an account rather than a postcode.
Once the account exists, quoting and booking run inside it. Clause 9 adds two further channels: a booking can be emailed to customercare@senditt.au, or phoned through on 0433 173 504, and Senditt enters it onto the platform on the customer's behalf. The same clause adds that the details Senditt records for an email or phone booking are taken to be the customer's instructions unless the customer reports an error before the goods are collected. What the platform does with a consignment next, and bulk quoting from an uploaded template, are separate subjects.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does a pallet freight quote include transit insurance?
No. Clause 4 makes arranging suitable insurance the customer's responsibility, and transit insurance or warranty is not included in the services unless the customer requests it and Senditt confirms it in writing at booking. Where confirmed, the cover, exclusions and claim process are as set out in that confirmation. The same clause has the customer release Senditt from liability arising from a policy failing to cover a loss.
Are the transit times on a pallet freight quote guaranteed?
No. Clause 2 makes every transit time the platform shows an estimate the carrier provided, and expressly not a guarantee. It comes from the carrier selected for the consignment, whose service coverage and conditions of carriage apply alongside Senditt's terms.
Is a pallet freight quote inclusive of GST?
Under clause 7 all charges are exclusive of GST unless stated otherwise, so check what the quote states.
What happens if a carrier records different dimensions?
The charge is adjusted. Clause 7 re-invoices the consignment whenever the dimensions, weight, item count, service or address a carrier records differ from the ones entered, together with any carrier surcharge that applies for re-measurement.
Who is responsible for the pallet details entered at booking?
The customer. Clause 3 warrants that every description, dimension, weight, quantity, value and address entered into the platform is complete and accurate, and the customer indemnifies Senditt and each carrier for all loss, damage, expense, penalties and fines that flow from an inaccuracy or omission in those details.
