What this page is, and who it is for
If you are moving one pallet, a car or a household item, this is the wrong place, and better to know now. Senditt works with Australian businesses sending roughly 500 or more consignments a month, pallet and parcel, on an account rather than job by job.
At that volume the thing being quoted is not one consignment. It is a freight profile: the lanes you run every week, the mix of pallets and cartons, the service levels your customers accept, and the conditions at both ends. A freight review looks at that, and it runs 30 minutes and costs nothing. You request one through the contact form. An account against buying each job separately is the subject of freight portal or freight broker. Where a managed freight platform (4PL) fits beside freight management software is set out on the freight management software page.
What goes into a freight quote
A quote is a charge worked out from a consignment's details, and Senditt's carriage terms say so in those words: charges are as quoted on the platform at the time of booking and are based on the details entered by the customer. The details the terms name when a charge is corrected are dimensions, weight, item count, service, and the address at either end.
Dimensions and weight are listed separately there, and both are entered details, so a carrier recording either one differently changes the charge. An address is more than a line of text, too. The clause names residential, remote and restricted-area delivery among the carrier surcharges that can be added, which are conditions of the place, and it names oversize items and manual handling, which attach to the freight.
Where freight goes is a quote input in its own right, which is why a weekly metropolitan run and an interstate lane are different questions even when the pallet on them is identical.
This is why the details are your responsibility rather than an estimate. Under the terms a customer warrants that all descriptions, dimensions, weights, quantities, values and addresses entered are complete and accurate, and that any dangerous goods are declared in full at booking. Those details become the consignment record, covered in what a consignment note is.
Why there is no instant price on this page
Senditt publishes no freight pricing, on this page or anywhere on the site, so there is no freight rate here, no range and nothing that works a charge out. Rates are quoted to an account, and under the carriage terms the rate and service information a customer sees on the platform is confidential to that customer.
Behind it sits what Senditt is. Senditt is a managed freight platform (4PL) for high-volume Australian business shippers: book on Senditt's negotiated rates across 35+ carriers, and track and reconcile every consignment from one dashboard. The rates are Senditt's own, and Senditt manages the carrier accounts, billing and support behind them. The carriers page lists the network.
For context on the industry behind a quote, the Australian Bureau of Statistics measured the transport, postal and warehousing division for 2024 to 2025: sales and service income up 7.8%, with road transport up 7.8%, while operating profit before tax for the division fell 37.6% (Australian Industry, 2024-25 financial year, released 19 June 2026, re-opened 3 October 2026). The ABS puts that fall mainly in transport support services, down 69.3%, not in road transport, whose income rose, and it measures a division rather than any carrier or any rate.
How quoting works once your account is open
Quoting is not an add-on. The carriage terms define the services as including quoting, booking and arranging carriage with carriers, consignment management, tracking and account management. Quoting, booking, tracking and manifests all happen in the same login, each with its own page, covering quoting and comparison, booking and tracking.
You do not wait on an integration to start. A new account can quote, book and send on day one, because Senditt's carrier rates are already loaded. Senditt connects21 systems across eCommerce, ERP and WMS, plus an open API and a flat file, each scoped and set up by the Senditt integrations team over two to four weeks depending on the platform, with setup plus monthly fees; the integrations page lists them.
The login is not the only way to get a job moving. Bookings may be placed through the platform, by email or by phone, and one placed by email or phone is entered onto the platform by Senditt on your behalf, under the same terms.
What to bring to a freight review
The review is more useful when you arrive with the shape of your freight. None of it is required to book: the form asks for an outline, not the detail.
- Your lanes. Where freight is collected and where it goes, which runs every week, and whether the volume is steady or seasonal.
- Your freight profile. Pallets, cartons or both, with the dimensions and weights you send week to week rather than the maximums.
- Service levels. What your customers accept, and where a slower service would do.
- What is at each end. A dock or none, a forklift or none, and whether a delivery point is residential or remote.
- Who you use now, and what you run. How many carriers, how their invoices arrive, and the store, ERP or warehouse system an integration would later connect to.
The form's enquiry type field offers live rate quoting and carrier comparison among its options. The fields it marks required are your first and last name, company, consignments a month, email, phone, enquiry type, how you heard about Senditt, your monthly freight spend and a message. A rough range for the spend is fine, excluding GST.
What happens after the review
An account follows the review, and a login follows the account. Applying also includes consent for Senditt to obtain and use credit reporting and trade reference information to assess it and manage the account.
Two expectations are published rather than implied. Transit times quoted on the platform are estimates provided by carriers and are not guaranteed, so a weekly lane is judged on what arrived, by the method in measuring carrier performance with DIFOT. And where the carrier you chose cannot perform the service, Senditt may substitute another carrier or service, using reasonable efforts to tell you.
When something goes wrong, lodging the claim is Senditt's job rather than yours. Senditt will, on request and at no additional charge, lodge and manage the claim with the carrier under that carrier's conditions of carriage, and pass on any recovery. Read the whole clause before relying on it, because it also allocates the risk: the goods are at the customer's risk and not Senditt's, carrier liability is typically limited, and insurance is the customer's to arrange, since transit cover is not included unless confirmed in writing at booking.
The time limits are strict and run from different events. Notice of damage or shortage is due in writing within seven days of delivery, with the damage noted on the proof of delivery where possible; notice of non-delivery within thirty days of despatch. Evidence asked for is due within fourteen business days of the request, and a claim outside those limits is waived. There are pages for each industry if you want it described against your own.
Frequently asked questions
What does a freight quote mean?
It is the charge for moving a consignment, worked out from that consignment's details. Senditt's carriage terms tie a charge to the details entered at booking, so changing the dimensions, the weight, the item count, the service or either address means quoting a different job.
Can I get an instant freight quote on the Senditt website?
No. Senditt publishes no freight pricing, so there is no freight rate, no range and no calculator on this site. Rates are quoted to an account and shown inside a login, and under the carriage terms what a customer sees there is confidential to that customer.
How do I get a freight quote for my business?
Book a freight review through the form on the contact page. It runs 30 minutes and costs nothing. The enquiry type field has options for live rate quoting and carrier comparison, and the form asks what you send in a month and what you spend, so the conversation starts from your own freight.
Why can the final charge differ from the quote?
Because a quote is computed from the details entered, and a carrier may record something different. Where it records different dimensions, weight, item count, service or address, the carriage terms say the charges are adjusted and re-invoiced, together with any applicable carrier surcharges for re-measurement, dangerous goods, residential, remote or restricted-area delivery, oversize items or manual handling. Senditt may also weigh or measure a package.
Does Senditt quote one-off or personal shipments?
No. Senditt is a freight management provider that arranges carriage through carriers for businesses on an account, and it is not a common carrier, a courier or a marketplace. One-off and personal sends are not what it does.
