TNT guide
TNT's domestic services
TNT's domestic range covers documents, packages and freight to any Australian address, with services that deliver either on a set day or by a set time. Road Express is its door-to-door road service, running on set transit schedules for delivery on a known day. Overnight Express is the overnight door-to-door option for metropolitan, regional and remote addresses, with conditions in remote regional areas. For an earlier window, 9:00, 10:00 and 12:00 Express run to and from nominated postcodes, and TNT groups them as Premium Express. Technology Express sits with Road Express among TNT's domestic road services.
TNT also runs time-critical courier work, including metro courier tiers in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, a next-flight service for urgent freight, and dedicated vehicles from one tonne up to semi-trailers. Those services are arranged with TNT directly. Through Senditt you book Road Express, Overnight Express, 12:00 Express and Technology Express.
TNT's station network
TNT lists stations in every state and territory. In New South Wales they run from Sydney out to Albury, Coffs Harbour, Dubbo, Newcastle, Tamworth and Wagga Wagga, and in Victoria from Melbourne to Ballarat, Bendigo, Geelong, Mildura and Shepparton. Queensland stations include Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Toowoomba, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns, and there are stations in Adelaide, Hobart, Launceston, Canberra, Darwin and Perth. Most of them now take FedEx packages too. Contact TNT before visiting a station.
Sending dangerous goods and awkward freight with TNT
- Road Express can carry dangerous goods under the Australian Dangerous Goods Code, sometimes outside standard transit times.
- On Road Express and Technology Express, limited-quantity dangerous goods on the mainland or within Tasmania need no shipper's declaration. Between Tasmania and the mainland they still do.
- TNT will not carry counterfeit goods, weapons and ammunition, illegal drugs, vaping devices or tobacco products.
- Freight too big for a pallet, such as vehicles, furniture or carpet rolls, needs a specialist arrangement.
TNT and FedEx Express are combining their businesses, and TNT's site says its customers will move across to FedEx Express in stages.
