Who APEX is
APEX is an Australian road and rail freight company that has operated since 2016, with its head office and network hub at Laverton North in Melbourne. It began moving freight on long-distance linehaul routes, which is still at the centre of what it does, and it has since added rail, refrigerated transport and warehousing.
APEX's road and rail network
APEX's depots are in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth, and the interstate lanes joining those cities each take pallets, full truckloads and general freight. Road freight runs as linehaul between major cities, with multi-drop runs and loads combined where they fit. Full trailer loads go on drop deck or flat floor curtainsiders, or on drop decks with a mezzanine floor. Rail freight moves in 20, 40 and 48 foot containers, refrigerated 48 foot units among them, through long-term arrangements with rail suppliers, and between Melbourne and Perth shippers can weigh road linehaul against rail. From Brisbane it runs linehaul down the east coast.
Each depot leans toward its city's freight. Perth serves mining, resources and industrial work, including heavy freight and full loads across the Nullarbor. Sydney handles retail distribution, eCommerce and general freight in full and part loads, and Brisbane moves pallets and full and part loads, from mining and construction equipment to retail stock.
Booking APEX and what to declare
APEX's quote form takes bundles, cartons, crates, drums, IBCs, lengths, pallets, rolls and skids, and asks whether a load is dangerous goods. Its terms treat goods as not dangerous unless declared in writing before carriage. Through Senditt you book APEX's General and Express services, named the way Senditt's carrier account lists them, beside every other carrier.
